Asian street food galore, 10-mile playground

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Despite the rain today, I have a feeling we'll have a good weekend. After all, the rain can't last that long, can it? Here are two things I'm looking forward to:

  • 626 Night Market in Pasadena. I love the craziness of night markets, especially in Taiwan. Within a few blocks, you'll find all sorts of goodies crammed into each other. It's like rummaging through an old attic and finding your long lost favorite toy. Sample some of Asia's finest street foods in Southern California's first night market. Get your fill of Taiwanese stinky tofu, Indonesian BBQ satay skewers, Japanese red bean pancakes and more. April 14 5:00 to 11:30 pm at 1. N. Oakland Ave, Pasadena. Free.
  • The fourth CicLAvia is on for this Sunday! Enjoy a nice walk around a car-free neighborhood with your family or take out your bike for a nice ride. CicLAvia has lots in store for everyone. Kids might even spy a power ranger in MacArthur Park, mom and dad might want to try the climbing wall at Hollenbeck Park, or get in some double Dutch jump rope action thanks to LA walks, LA's first ever pedestrian advocacy group.
