Free today: Chinese Lantern Festival

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

This Saturday, we'll have some cultural cross-pollination going on at the El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument. Instead of the usual Latin revelry, visitors would be treated to an Oriental celebration.

The Chinese American Museum will host its annual Chinese Lantern Festival on the site of the original Chinatown. CAM will recreate a traditional village street fair complete with lantern displays, Chinese opera style face painting, Chinese calligraphy and more. Read all about it here.
