Splurge this weekend: Noises Off at A Noise Within

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Long-time Glendale classical repertory theater A Noise Within (ANW) re-stages "Noises Off" this season due to public demand. The play--a 1982 Michael Frayn farce within a farce--takes audiences through a rendering of "Nothing On" not once but thrice.

Watching a farce three times may sound like it could inspire yawns, but ANW kicks the comedy into high gear and never stops. Quick-witted quips and fast-paced entrance and exits ensure you're up all the way through.

I've already seen this play on video once, but seeing this performed live was a rare treat. Just a tip, stay for the set change during intermission. Where else can you see a stage set break in two and turn about to give audience members another vantage point?
