Cheap this month: Neon art

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Want to get into the Museum of Neon Art (MONA) for a mere $3.50? Just say "electric" at the front door. Yes, really.

In celebration of Los Angeles Art Month, MONA gets playful by initiating this secret password. Kind of makes you feel like a child getting into a clubhouse, right?

Once in, you can check out "Recycled, Reclaimed, and Reinvented: The Neon Art of Bill Concannon," two group shows and a site-specific black light installation.

Admission: $7 ($3.50 with password until Jan 31)
Hours: Thurs & Sun, noon to 6 pm
Phone: 213-489-9918
136 W. 4th St., Los Angeles
* call the museum first before visiting, to make sure they're open
