Disney Animators as Artists

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Cartoon animation is an art in itself, but what do animators dream of when they're not restricted by the Disney brand?

In collaboration with Suspended Animation Gallery, Woodbury University presents "Animators as Artists" at the Nan Rae Gallery. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, and sculptures made by Disney animators shedding their corporate ties. The collection is owned by Tenny Chonin, former Director of Artist Development at Walt Disney Animation Studios, who started her personal collection during her 12-year career at the studio.
