Act Fast: Contemporary Dancing at LA City Hall

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Ah, to dance where there are usually stuffed shirts walking around in their bespoke suits and ties. In celebration of its 25 years, the Heide Duckler Collage Dance Theater brings contemporary dance to City Hall's Byzantine-style rotunda in a performance called "Governing Bodies."

According to Frances Anderton's DnA blog, the performance will "continue through the hallways and the City Council Chambers, concluding at Spring Street steps and Romanesque forecourt. Audiences will follow the dancers through the limestone corridors and marble columns during this contemporary performance, the first of its kind to be performed in City Hall."

Sounds great right? I'd recommend going to the November 13 performance at 4 pm for $20. I'm sure this will sell out fast, so reserve your tickets here.
