Free today: Can sculptures for fighting hunger

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Have you ever been to a grocery and utterly mesmerized by staff members stacking huge cans so efficiently? Well, this Friday to Sunday, architects, engineers, designers and builders are building large-scale structures using cans--canned meat, tuna, soda, you name it--for a cause: fighting hunger. We're all invited to see their works of art and help by simply bringing a can, which could also be used for construction. All cans will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank after the event.
