Secret no more: Gjelina

Posted by Carren Jao Pineda |

Don't walk too fast on Abbot Kinney, or else you might miss this oh-so-hard-to-find dining hotspot. With only the tiniest of letters on the corner of the window (written perpendicular to the sidewalk, at that), dining at Gjelina's always means a little bit of a wait. (Just 20 minutes, IF you're lucky). The wait is worth it though as you dine inside the intimate, rustic resto.

Pizza's are signature thin but flavorful, making it best to share an order per couple, but what should not to miss is the Grilled Cirone Peaches with Prosciutto, Burrata, Radicchio and Arugula appetizer. Fruit and vegetables mix in a lovely symphony on this dish. It made me want to find some peaches and hunks of burrata to recreate the swirl of sweet and creamy in my mouth.

Gjelina's put up their own website and Facebook page, finally. Maybe that'll help you find it.
